When I open a form created in InDesign by a colleague the text is spaced differently and objects are misaligned to original file. My colleague uses version 7.2 & I have tried opening the document in CS6 & tried to view in CS 10.0.0.70 but still have the same issue.
We make use of 3 layers, on the bottom layer there are objects (blocks), on the second layer we have the text and the third later contains the top heading and logo.
Please can you help, SAVE US!!!
Thanks for getting back to me.
We discovered yesterday that the designer didn't have our Font, Frutiger. When I tried opening the doc, it moved everything around as I have the Frutiger installed. See pdf of form created on InDesign without Frutiger installed.
Now see PDF of form created on InDesign with Frutiger installed, notice that spacing/tracking is out of sync.
How can we fix this this without having to amend every single text box? We would like it to look like the first image.
Why are you not using the same font?
Otherwise: Redefine the Paragraph and Character Styles. (If your designer did not use styles, require any money back from him.)
You can redefine styles with the search font command.
