Pressing . on the number pad doesn't work?
Trust me when I say that scrubbing the audio in 13.0 didn't work well... warning “RAM Preview needs 2 or more frames” after scrubbing audio in After Effects CC 2014 (13.0)
So, this was a bug they were trying to fix with 13.1 (and may have messed something up with your specific system), Adobe will want a bug report on your system. Give as much info as possible: Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form
Can you preview audio when it's not going through the BlackMagic?
No . on number pad doesn't work. What I am saying is that the audio doesn't even show up on the audio meters inside of AE. But if I render, RAM preview or otherwise, the audio is there. Mute is not selected in the preview panel. I restarted a couple of times. I told the system to ignore the BMD, no difference. PPro works fine with audio but I shut it down too in case of conflict. Scrubbing never worked that great in my opinion but could be useful at times just to check work and timings.
I am well acclimated to bug reports. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't me or some new setting or preference that is now blue so I missed it. ha
You are right... I changed the preference audio hardware and I am now getting the sound out of the internal speakers. So I will solve all the way and repost
What solved this was to simply go to the preferences, select a different audio hardware path (was system default (which is set to video card)) like "digital out" or whatever, then reselect your desired choice, for me this is "default system i/o" which is feeding the BMD. Thank you for your help Szalam. Not that all of an uncommon thing, just resetting a path if you will...
Glad you solved it.
