1. Re: SFTP update info.
Zak Williamson (Adobe) Oct 6, 2014 2:55 PM (in response to bford225)I'm curious why you're looking to use SFTP upload rather than the BC Publish feature?
The code generated by Export as HTML and Upload to FTP (or SFTP or FTPS) Host is different than what's generated for Publish to BC. Only the Publish to BC workflow generates the correct code for a site hosted on BC.

2. Re: SFTP update info.
bford225 Oct 6, 2014 3:29 PM (in response to Zak Williamson (Adobe))the reason i am asking is. bec adobe BC told me to use only SFTP server. because its a partner site, my free trial site. and i was told to do this by adobe BC before adobe muse got the SFTP update.
the only way I knew how to was to export as html and use dreamweaver. which worked. with a few bugs that needed to be fixed.
in the past i have tried to use the adobe muse publish to BC but did not work.
the site i am designing is my own site. its not for a client. if it was then i would be using publish to BC.

3. Re: SFTP update info.
bford225 Oct 6, 2014 3:31 PM (in response to bford225)i have asked adobe BC live chat the same question. they said it should work as long as i use SFTP from the new muse update.
but so far the only thing that is giving me an issue is FTP server address. everything else seams to work. if i can just get the address then i am in.

5. Re: SFTP update info.
Zak Williamson (Adobe) Oct 6, 2014 4:02 PM (in response to Zak Williamson (Adobe))Just had a (perhaps crazy) thought...
1) Create a new, separate Adobe ID (or use one you already have that's not the one for your Partner Account).
2) Use that new Adobe ID to create a free trial site on BC (that has nothing to do with your Partner Account).
3) From your partner account add the new Adobe ID as an Admin for your Partner Account site.
4) In Muse switch the Adobe ID used for Publish in the Preferences dialog to be the new Adobe ID.
5) When you go to Publish, your Partner Account should be in the sites listed in the Options area of the Publish dialog, since it's one of the accounts the new Adobe ID is an Admin for.
Big Disclaimer: I haven't tried this, but it seems like it should work and would enable you to use Publish. If you decide to give it a try, let us know how it goes. Thanks.

6. Re: SFTP update info.
bford225 Oct 6, 2014 4:14 PM (in response to Zak Williamson (Adobe))nope it worked. i was able to solve the issue while chatting with a adobe BC live chat person. it was an user error. on my half. trying to import the same info from when i had it in dreamweaver SFTP was not completely right. so i kept trying and trying and it worked . so i shared with adobe BC so they can have info to help others muse users who may have the same issue.
with out the muse 2014 i would of not been able to do this. upload a muse file to my adobe BC partner site.
instead i would have to export as html, and upload using fire fox or do what i did before dreamweaver cc. the reason i went back to muse when i found the update was because when you export a muse file as html. in the code it says muse. thats why dreamweaver was not able to read the html before. it became a issue. thats why i waited and waited for the muse update to support SFTP. so thank.
if i had to. i would of have to play with code and etc. really did not want to do so.
i like muse bec it allows me to focus on design. instead of code.
dreamweaver was fine for working on school projects before adobe cloud came. but trying to build a web site with just taking one basic class and trying to import a gallery in the home page without messing up the code. was a problem. thats where muse come in.
my plan is to use muse to build sites from scratch. and use dreamweaver to edit BC sites. or edit other sites from like word press or other host . thats my plan.
but my own site i wanted up fast. and easy to update. i was hoping muse came with new update and it did. so thank you
