I cannot save recent images.

I cannot save recent images. I get a message that says, "Could not save "file name" because the file is locked or you do not have the necessary access privileges. Use the "Get Info" command in the Finder to unlock the file or change permissions on the file or enclosing folders."

Hi Demond,

Are you trying to save it on a local drive or external drive?

You can give permissions to file by doing a control click on the file and choosing "get info" giving it read and write permissions to everyone.

Yes, I've followed said instructions several times and for some reason I cannot save to a particular external hard drive. I'm able to save on all of my externals except one.

Hi Demond,

There seems to be a permission issue on the external hard drive.

Please try to open the disk utility, highlight the external drive and try to repair the disk permissions on that drive.

It won't let me hit the "Repair Disk Permissions" on this drive, or any external hard drive for that matter.
