I tried to update through the app when it told me there was a new update for Creative Cloud.
The update failed to install (Error 50) after downloading. Two different PCs with completely different hardware/drivers/configurations - same problem on both. I had to completely uninstall the app and reinstall, which negates the whole idea of the update process. What exactly is the point of an update facility if it doesn't work? I hear this is not an uncommon problem.
Photoshop CC and Lightroom are great, but the CC desktop app is garbage. Time to start from scratch with this one, Adobe.

My question asking why this happens has not been answered.
I simply need to know why the update process completely fails to work. Why does Adobe provide the update service if it cannot get it to function? As so many end users seem to be suffering this problem, Adobe should, from the outset, recommend to its customers that they uninstall and re-install the CC desktop app in order to update.
