sinious Oct 8, 2014 11:27 AM (in response to Little_JBs)What version of Flash CC, the original CC or CC 2014?
Also what version of Mac OSX?
Quicktime is on version 7 for Windows, are you sure you're on Quicktime 10.1 or did you mean you're on OSX 10.1?

Little_JBs Oct 8, 2014 11:54 AM (in response to sinious)Hi,
I'm on Mac OSX 10.7.5 (at home... Windows at work)
My Quicktime player is 10.1
I just re-converted MP3 with Media encoder (original made with Audition)... And I'm able to import MP3 in Flash library... ??? WTF???

5. Re: Can't Import MP3 in FlashCC
sinious Oct 8, 2014 12:33 PM (in response to Little_JBs)The MP3 container has a few different brand codecs it can use. You might need to choose a different format for exporting from Audition. I would highly recommend AAC so you can get high quality and compress a production version from that later.
I guess the version numbers are strangely different between platforms. Either way it's a common problem for people bringing media into Flash because it's not widely known that Flash requires Quicktime for some of it.

6. Re: Can't Import MP3 in FlashCC
Jamie.K.Cain Nov 5, 2014 10:30 AM (in response to Little_JBs)I found out that CC does not automatically down-sample the mp3 upon importing. When saving out the mp3 from Audition, or any other program, save it out less that 48000 Sample Rate (something like 44100). This should then allow you to import it into Flash CC
Hope you find that this works.
