Go to your Creative Cloud applet, go down below the currently intalled apps, there's a line "Filters & Versions" ... click on that, then scroll down until you find the program you want to revert, click on it ... up pops an Adobe web page with Download in the upper right, but ... to the left center of the page is a small drop-down list that will typically list the newest one ... click on the arrow on the right, and previous versions will be available, typically back to CS6. You'll not the Download button changes ... and go ahead and 'download' the version you've got selected ... hope that helps.

Thanks Neil, that worked. I also found another trick to keep 2014 without the recent update by letting it install and then cancelling it at about the 90% mark.
Shootemz; the video and audio would play but with extreme lag and the other windows were unresponsive to my actions. If I tried to change the timeline at all, I'd get the spinning beach ball and the program would crash.

Thanks Neil, selecting Previous Version from the "Filters & Versions" menu will get you back to an earlier base (.0) release.... But if you prefer, it's also possible to back off or restore just a single click, and go back to the previous minor version you had right before an update... For example, rolling back from Premiere Pro 8.1 to the immediately prior v. 8.0.1. As Adobe adds more frequent patches between major releases, this becomes more useful.
