C++ Exception Error

Hi,

I've updated to the latest version of edge and when trying to delete a keyframe from within a symbol I get the (unknown C++ exception) error and doesn't let me delete then keyframe. It is also happening on more than one Edge project.

This happens on multiple computers with the latest update

Does anyone know why this is happening?

FYI, I get the same error when trying to delete transitions or elements. Seems like there are lots of problems with opening compositions made with previous versions.

Do you know why it does it or are we going to have to live with it until Adobe sorts Edge out?

No, it do not know and I have mentioned the issue in the pre-release forum. I reinstalled the previous version and will work with that until all these issues are resolved. The version should not have been rolled out in my opinion. Needed more testing.

Ok cool, would you be able to keep me posted if you get any answers since this is a big problem for me and quite a few people I work with.
Also how do you download a previous version?

Yeah I agree with that, there are more problems with it than the new things they added.

Make sure you are loggin in. Then choose 2014 from the drop down menu:

You need not uninstall latest version, You can have both older version with the current version parallely.

The creative cloud will not let me access or install previous versions. How do I get the previous version? I can't do any of my work as it keeps crashing.

On creative cloud app, navigate to the 'apps' sectio n. Scroll down and you'll see
'Filters and versions' drop down. Select 'Previous Version'. Scroll down again and you'll see previous versions of Edge animate.

I ended up uninstalling the newer update of edge and installing the previous version from here HTML animation | Download free Adobe Edge Animate CC trial
And go to the drop down to Animate CC (2014).

The only reason we've uninstalled is because we don't want this new update to mess up work we've been working on. So going to wait for a patch up from Adobe and hopefully they fix the problems

I have been having the same problem. So, I reinstalled the old version (2014) but now my work wont open because it was created in the newer version.... any ideas? or do I have to wait for a patch?

I think you'll have to wait for a update but I'm not too sure. I never got to the stage of creating new projects in the new update so managed to keep all the old file.

I haven't figured out a way to open in a previous version, I had to just redo the project. Luckily I hadn't gotten too far when I noticed the issue.

I understand! I have both and I have to be careful what I open with what. So I usually open from the folder - check the version (edge.js) by looking at it in the right panel in Windows. If I need old version I open the old version and click on the an file. If I need the new version - I close the old version if it is running and open the new version and click on the an file. I know, it is a pain but I produce a large number of AN files and sometimes I get corrections from our proofers or editors and I need to know what version was used originally. I guess I will always have this problem since many old version will not upgrade gracefully.
