    Having xavc playback issues

    georget13 Community Member

      Hello;

      We've been experiencing ongoing playback issues using the xavc codec from a newly purchased Sony z100 camera. Our systems use Adobe Premiere CC version 8.0 as well we are using the Matrox Mojito Max board version 7.6. Both HD and 4k plays back choppy as well the audio often times drops out. With HD footage we find that if you playback a clip a second time it plays back fine you can usually playback 2 or 3 clips successfully this way.

      However when we output regardless of the format usually to mpeg 2 or h.264 it does it perfectly and the new file has no playback issues.

      We do have a separate 7200 rpm drive that we have all of the media saved to and we always make sure to scratch disks and point the media cache to the corresponding folder on that drive.

      I'd appreciate any feedback on how to resolve this issue.

      Regards,

      George Tsougrianis

          Hi Georget13,

          There were some fixes for audio dropouts in Premiere Pro CC 2014.1 (8.1). When you have time, update the software and create a test with a new project (don't update an existing project). You may want to complete the project you're working on first, however.

          Thanks,

          Kevin
