    Can't Connect with BlackBerry PlayBook

    Jeffrey Timothy Valerie Community Member

      Dear Adobe Connect Community

I have not had this blackberry playbook long and thought if I installed this application, I would be able to enter my study class chatroom.

I do have these sessions twice throughout any three months of the modules am doing, so I do know the class sessions work, and I thought I would be able to continue studying if am not at home and on the road.

I need to know if your application is still supporting the BlackBerry PlayBook OS: 2.1.0.1917, as I received your application from BlackBerry World Apps.

The class sessions are held with Resource Development International Ltd (RDI Ltd), who works together with Edexcel and Pearson Education.

I do hope we can have this fixed.

      Yours sincerely

      JT Valerie

Mobile support for Connect 9.3 is:

          Mobile

          • Apple supported devices: iPhone 5S, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad with Retina display, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, and iPod touch (4th & 5th generations)
          • Apple supported OS versions summary: iOS 6 and higher
          • Android supported devices: Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX, Motorola Atrix, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Samsung Galaxy S3 & S4, Nexus 7 tablet
          • Android supported OS versions summary: 2.3.4 and higher

The last update the the BB app got was 1.7.5. The current version of the Connect mobile app is 2.2. The release of 2.1 had a note that the Blackberry platform is no longer supported (Page 2 here). This is reflected in the tech specs page for Connect, which is where I got the supported mobile platforms above. I believe the answer is ultimately, you will either need to use an Apple or Android mobile device, or your computer.

            Dear Jorma

            Thank you for your reply.

Yes, this is an issue with BlackBerry, but I don't think that they no longer support flash, but they haven't updated it.

I was hoping to connect with my class, but not being yours and Adobe's fault, but Blackberry's.

Thank you again for the information.

            My Very Best Regards

            Jeff
