Hi Steve — Thanks, I know that's a good thing to try when ID starts acting weird but it didn't work in this case. Any other thoughts? It occurred to me the problem might be with the cordless mouse, and I've tried twiddling mouse preferences, but it only does this in ID . . .
Is that Apple's Magic Mouse? Users have reported problems with it for years.
Try things with no mouse or a different mouse model.
Thanks, that's probably it then. I've used the Magic Mouse with desktop Macs with no problem, the MacBook Pro is kind of new to me. I was hoping though it might be an ID problem, but I guess not since it doesn't happen when I'm using the touchpad.
