I have a computer that died before I could uninstall CS3 from that computer.
Even before it died, the CS3 installation began having problems. The programs would run, but the registration popup window would appear every time one of the programs was run. The problem started several months ago when the computer began having problems connecting to the local network.
Since I must uninstall the original installation before I can install it on a new computer, I am at a complete loss how to proceed. Any assistance would be appreciated,
You are allowed to have two machines with activated installations, so if you have no other than the current one, you still have an activation open for use.
You do not need to uninstall, but to free up the activation to retain an extra one you do need to deactivate it. Adobe support can perform that service if you contact them thru chat.
For the link below click the Still Need Help? option in the blue area at the bottom and choose the chat option...
