You can uncheck the "Autoplay" for the Stage in Edge Animate, and add the sym.play(0) for the click handler to the button which will start the animation.
thank you for your reponse.
what you suggest is what I did first, of course.
Hoped it would be that easy.
My animation is mainly JS code launched for the compositionReady event.
Hence, I would like the composition to load again.
Once the composition is ready to use, why would you want to reload the whole composition again.
Take example for the game:
When you click the play button, you load the composition once. Animation plays till end.
Then you can set the visibility of the animation to "hidden" by using script. And show a "Restart" button instead.
And in the click handler to the "Restart button", set the visibility back to "visible", and play the animation again.
You're my man (or woman) vivekuma!
That did the job. I translated my code to a timeline trigger, as you suggested. (And the visibility trick.)
I even used the 'complete' event of the timeline with Autoplay.
Im trying to do this very thing. Im doing everything via code. So the autoplay stage uncheck doesnt work. I need it to relaunch the stage so it resets all the JS. I tried unloading and reloading the edge_.js files in the browser but it breaks, also tried the bootstrap callback using AdobeEdge.launchComposition(compId); AdobeEdge.loadComposition(compId); nothing.
......I'm certain its possible. Any ideas?
