Hi, could someone please tell me if the Nvidia Quadro NVS 510 2Gb graphics card is or can be used with Premiere Pro CC 2014.
It has a dedicated H.264 encode engine that's independent of 3D/compute pipeline and delivers faster than real-time performance for transcoding, video editing, and other encoding applications.
Combines high-definition video processors and software that delivers unprecedented picture clarity, smooth video, accurate color, and precise image scaling for SD and HD video content. Features include, high-quality scaling, spatial temporal de-interlacing, inverse telecine and high quality dual HD video playback—with low CPU utilization and power consumption
The NVS 510 also leverages the latest NVIDIA Kepler™ GPU technology and 2GB of dedicated high-performance graphics memory.
Yeah, but it is a waste of money. Around € 390 for a card that delivers not even 30% of the performance of the GTX 750 at € 130.
Effectively the GTX 750 is three times faster for a third of the price. And for € 350 you have the much better (at least 10 x) performing GTX 970.
NVENC is currently not available with most applications or beta options only. I would not count on that as a feature until applications start to integrate it.
