Your client will not fire you because the client will need to to pay someone else you lots of money to create a difficult to maintain app. It will be cheaper for your client to convert videos to FLV.
One idea is to use an HTML document to play Flash flv's through the Flash player and other formats via other players as folks now do on the net which would be the player they have installed.
You might look at Director for multiple video formats and wrap Flash inside but one it may not support all formats and two the shockwave player is larger and needed to be installed on the user web sites and three it is just more complicated but deserves at least $150.00US/hr rate for the right pro and four who knows when Director development/support will become frozen.
Motion..Its my luck that both time I got reply from you only. But Its very difficult to make the client understand about the right and wrong and anyways my client is stubborn.
So, What else I can say but I think I have downloaded one sample file from net its not looking unbderstandable to me but it might be a clue for you and I am forwarding a link also.
So please look into and let me know the desire result.I am unable to attach the file please tell me the way.
FMPlayer 1.5 or a similar third part solution sure looks like a way to go for the client.
Still it requires a more savvy developer to integrate the parts and test them and I would not be afraid to bump the cost to do it.
