I've encountered something strange that confuses me completely. Basically: Even though I tell the [Basic Paragraph] to align to the baseline grid, it doesn't. Well, it does in parts, but not in others. Here's what it looks like.
So the baseline grid is set to 6pt.
Spacing before: 3pt
Spacing after: 3pt
But nothing lines up. Well, it does in the beginning, then stops. Why? And how can I fix this?
Thanks for your help.
You are defining the grid alignment in the paragraph style, but that doesn't mean the paragraphs are assigned the style without overrides. Select the text and check the Paragraph panel. Also your space before and after won't be 3pt if you align to grid—the grid alignment will override the half space
It's also possible you have a custom grid set on the text frame and it is not visible, but being used for alignment...
