I'd like to have a button in menu that does several things, but I'm not sure if this is possible:
Button with Up state
Roll over with mouse and button changes color
Click button and it animates by twisting to the right 90 degrees
After clicking, the user will be brought to a slideshow
While at this slideshow, the button needs to stay in the clicked 90 degree state
When a user is done with the slideshow, they will click on another button in the menu. The first button needs to reverse 90 degrees and go back to it's normal state and then the new button does that same actions as above.
I would have 4 buttons. Is this possible?
Yes, this is possible.
You need to check the state of your buttons for your events. You will have buttons as symbols in which you will have your states and transitions. You can also access a button symbol's timeline from another button. If you are not sure of the scope, use the code panel to enter your code.
For an example of checking button states, see this sample:
I'm a beginner with coding, so It's hard for me to grasp these concepts. Are there any tutorials talking about this?
