I cannot figure out how to put a banner diagonal over an image and mask it so the ends don't show beyond the image borders.
Think of a home for sale ad image that would have a banner that says: JUST REDUCED or something like that diagonal over the top of the image.
Use the Direct Select tool to select the path of the banner shape, then select the individual corner nodes to adjust them, or use the Pen tool to add new nodes and delete the ones that are out in space.
