1. Re: Extension Manager no longer shows applications after update to 7.3.2.39.
shuo_yang Oct 16, 2014 6:55 PM (in response to PeterJohnJoseph)What is your older version? 7.2.1?
Can you please update it to 7.3.2.39 and try it again. If it does not work, please delete Extension Manager database file in \Library\Application Support\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Configuration\DB\ExMan.db and re-launch Extension Manager 7.3.2.

2. Re: Extension Manager no longer shows applications after update to 7.3.2.39.
PeterJohnJoseph Oct 16, 2014 7:44 PM (in response to shuo_yang)Ok, the version that works is 7.2.1.6.
I tried upgrading again, which didn't work. I've tried that process a few times. I also tried deleting the database, which didn't work. The only add-on's were from the Other column. This is so strange. I need my add-on's and plugins to work though.
Quick question, I've seen in a few other threads people saying their Add-On's are located in \Library\Application Support\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4. That is not the case with me. The only thing that exists in that folder is extensions/Mini Bridge 3. My Add-On's are installing to \Library\Application Support\Adobe\CEP\extensions. Is this correct? I'm just trying to think of anything I can.

3. Re: Extension Manager no longer shows applications after update to 7.3.2.39.
PeterJohnJoseph Oct 17, 2014 12:47 AM (in response to shuo_yang)While this by no means directly solves a problem that it seems lots of people are having with the Extension Manager, especially upon upgrade, I can say that I was able to fix it, albeit by uninstalling everything yet again. This time, I really, really deep cleaned old Adobe folders, Preference folders, caches, everything. I don't recommend everyone do this unless you know what you're doing and have securely backed up your hard drive before hand. I deleted anything I believed was related to Creative Cloud. I also deleted remnants of older installs of CS4, CS5, CS6 that I wasn't aware still existed. I have no idea what effect, if any, this had on solving my problems, but my hope was that the fresh install would "start from scratch" when it created folders and paths instead of just reusing folders that were left over from older installs. If something was defaulting to the wrong path/folder to start, reinstalling it was just going to create that problem again. If the folder doesn't exist in the first place, the install will create a fresh one, in the correct paths.
Whatever the problem was, it seems to be solved, for now. I say that because I thought I was out of the woods with this before, and all of my applications vanished from the Extension Manager Panel some time later. Hopefully this does it for good. I hope that a better resolution than having to completely uninstall and reinstall everything can be found for anyone else having this problem. It obviously seems the files are ending up in one spot, while Extension Manager believes they should be in another. How or why, I'm not sure. All I know is, if you have the time, can back up everything safely, and know enough to find and delete everything related to CC that you can find, than this may help you.

Palmilux Oct 17, 2014 9:47 AM (in response to PeterJohnJoseph)I've tried everything (downgrade, clean all, aso...). Nothing works! Only "Other" shows in the left panel. Therefore, impossible to install a add-on i've paying for . I'm running Windows 7 64 (and out of solutions).

shuo_yang Oct 19, 2014 8:37 PM (in response to PeterJohnJoseph)Hi Peter,
Can you try follow steps?
1. Create a file called exmancoreliblog.yes and copy it to
Mac: /Users/<name>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log/
Windows: C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log
2. Delete Extension Manager database file then restart Extension Manager and reproduce your issue
Mac: "Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Configuration/DB/ExMan.db"
Windows: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Configuration\DB\ExMan.db
3. Send us ExManCoreLibrary.log file in that log folder to exman.beijing@gmail.com

7. Re: Extension Manager no longer shows applications after update to 7.3.2.39.
PeterJohnJoseph Oct 19, 2014 9:07 PM (in response to shuo_yang)shuo_yang, I sent the log files. Thank you for getting back to me. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. Like I said in the email, I'll supply anything else you need, no matter what you need me to do. Hopefully this can help a lot of people out.
For anyone reading this with a similar problem you'll see above that I thought my problem was solved, but a few days later the applications dissapeared again, so I made a separate post begging for help- It happened again.. Adobe, please HELP an ongoing issue. Extension Mananger CC apps dissapeared again.
So hopefully now we can start to find a solution.

nadine shaalan Oct 21, 2014 11:44 PM (in response to PeterJohnJoseph)I have to jump in, if for no other reason but to let Adobe know the extent of the problem. My symptoms and attempted solutions are the same. I spent 4 hours on the phone with tech support in New Delhi. I have cleaned, uninstalled, reinstalled, patched… I event sent my log files and the tech support agent said they would call back. I have heard nothing. Interestingly, on another computer, it works fine. Hope there is a fix soon.

11. Re: Extension Manager no longer shows applications after update to 7.3.2.39.
CreativeWorx Nov 11, 2014 6:38 PM (in response to PeterJohnJoseph)I have a potentially related problem. Was trying to upgrade an extension that was installed in CC versions of PS, AI, ID. The upgrade prompted about conflicts and offered to remove older versions. I clicked okay and then got "Failed to update database. The extension will not be installed."
Oddly, though, the new version of extension WAS installed. It shows up in PS, AI and ID...but does not show up in Extension Manager.
How do I get the extension to show up in the Extension Manager? (Note: The older version was visible in EM, but not any more)
EM version: 7.3.2.39
Adobe Photoshop Version: 2014.2.1 20141014.r.257 2014/10/14:23:59:59 CL 987299 x64
