Here I have posted screenshots of me selecting the brightest value of this image. I would like to have all this hard work automated.
Image = The image. Im going to find and select its brightest value. I make layer from background
Image = Layer from background
Image = I Open "Blending Options" window and push white slider one step down - from 255 to 254. If there is 255 value in the image it will become transparent.
Image = I make new layer
Image = select both layers
Image = Merge layers
Image = Ctrl+click on the layer
Image = Inverse selection
Image = Now we can see that the "inverse" is greyed out. it means that the brightest value is not 255.
Image = since i didnt find any value at 255, i go on and push the slider further down - from 254 to 253.
Image = I make new layer, select both layers, and i merge them.
Image = Merged layer
Image = Ctrl+click on the layer
Image = Inverse selection
Image = once again we can see that the "inverse" is greyed out. it means that neither of these two values (255, 254) represent the brightest value in the image.
I repeat this process over and over again until I hit the value which is the brightest. In this case, the brightest value is 95.
Image = once again I Open "Blending Options" window and push white slider one step down. After many steps i have made, i make a move from 95 to 94. 95 value becomes trasparent
Image = once again I make new layer
Image = select both layers and merge
Image = Ctrl+click on the layer
Image = Inverse selection
Image = We can see that the "inverse" is NOT greyed out. It's ACTIVE. It means that we have found the brightest value which is 95. The brightest value is selected, which in this case, it consist of transparent pixels. However i have the selection of the brightest value of this image. The goal is achieved.
Can it be automated?
