Frank2605 Oct 16, 2014 11:39 PM (in response to Frank2605)Found this page which indicates that this problem is known since version 10 and still not resolved. It may give you a clue what to be fixed. Why not fixed in the last 3 releases ? This is really irritating.

Frank2605 Oct 16, 2014 11:44 PM (in response to Frank2605)Pls dont tell me to download this script and run the perl procedure. I am an ENDUSER, not IT specialist. In the forums this is a recommendation, even from ADOBE. But its not acceptable as this is very small error that you can fix in 10 minutes in your coding most probably.
ADOBE recommendation:

PRE_help Oct 17, 2014 1:10 AM (in response to Frank2605)Hi,
Can you let us know in which language is Premiere Elements 13 installed? Were you opening a project created in a previous version of Premiere Elements? We had fixed this problem in PRE11. Can you please send the project file (prel file that should be located by default at My Documents\Adobe\Premiere Elements\<version_of_PRE> folder) to us at prehelp@adobe.com so we can have a look at it?
Regards,
Premiere Elements 13

Frank2605 Oct 17, 2014 4:24 AM (in response to PRE_help)Great to hear from you so fast !!!! Did not expect it !! Very good!!
I have just purchased the software this week and first installed it in
German. Created the file in this version just Tuesday this week.
When i had the problem, i deinstalled german and then took the english
version as I thought it must have to do with a special character. But also
in engl. i still have the problem.
I dont have a file at work here but will send you the file from home
tonight. In the forums they say it must have to do with the comma/dot
setting which varies from engl to german. So the version might not make a
difference but the keyboard settings or character set. Pls try german
character set and then insert an audio mp3. Then create a keyframe and
lower the volume level of the audio. Save and close and try to open again.
I suppose thats the test case with which you ren reproduce the problem.

Is there any fast procedure to put clips that i recorded with a second
camcorder to the the main stream by automatically checking and finding the
position where to insert it e.g. by the underlying audio?
This is very manual in ELEMNTS 13 and i have to move the clip in the 2nd
video stream in ELEMENTS forth and back to match it up exactly to the point
where to enter it. This would ease my work to re-create the film again as i
have lost all i did and the work of 2 days.
Have to finish this by Monday unfortunatelly as we need it then.
ANy little tip would be appreciated.
Cheers and have a great day!!
Frank

Typically the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum is a user to user forum. However, with the release of the new version 13, there is the Adobe presence here in the form of PRE_help and Adobe Staff. You have attracted the attention of PRE_help, and I am pleased to see that it is offering you the opportunity for a connect session which user to user cannot.
This is not an easy problem to resolve. There have been at least 2 with this problem recently. Here is the link for the one in Premiere Elements 12
We all will be watching for further developments between you and PRE_help.

Don Knobi is also in a desperate situation with keyframe error 142. Don is using Premiere Elements 12, not 13.
In spite of that, could you extend an Adobe connect session for him?
Thank you.
