I have converted Video Camera RAW files (MLV) to DNG and have imported them into LR to color correct before importing them as a sequence into AE.
In order for the images to retain their color adjustments when importing into AE is it necessary to 'Update DNG Previews & Metadata' or will 'Save Metadata to Files' suffice??
Why are you not using SpeedGrade? It is appropriate for video files in many codecs.
I do plan on using SpeedGrade for the final correction but what I'm looking to do now is correct the DNG raw image still frames before converting them into a video file which is where SpeedGrade comes in.
I've answered my own question though and it does look I can simply batch sync settings on the files and simply save the metadata on to them and it will follow through when importing into AE.
Camera Raw pops up right away when doing so, allowing me to do the same but only shows one still frame vs LR which allows me to see the whole sequence and pick as I chose.
all is good!
