    Suddenly, Lightroom won't import videos and complains about Dynamic Link Server errors


      After using it successfully for a long time, now Lightroom (v5.6 on Windows 7 64-bit) won't import videos.


      Instead, it complains "Connecting to Dynamic Link server failed."


      I've researched this a ton and tried everything I have found, but so far no solution.


      What allowed me to import one (1) video was to a) shutdown LR, b) uninstall Quicktime, and c) use Lightroom to import one video successfully.  But the others on the card won't load.


      This is mystifying and extremely frustrating since we use LR for safe keeping of all on our photos and videos.  I really need to keep our workflow working the same and don't want to have videos handled separately. 


      What's especially frustrating is Adobe's apparent silence on providing help.  This dates back for some time, but I can't seem to find any sort of official LR recommendations.  Just users all trying to help each other out as best they can.
