What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements running on?

Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements 11?

Are you running Premiere Elements 11 and QuickTime from a User Account with Administrative Privileges?

How are you importing the .mov file into Premiere Elements 11? What are you using for the Add Media?

Please let us know the properties of this .mov file....video compression, audio compression, frame size, frame rate, interlaced

or progressive, pixel aspect ratio. A quick way to get at the essentials might be to let us know the brand/model/and settings

for the camera that recorded the .video.

Let us start here and then decide what next.

If you want to get some codec status information on the file, you might consider downloading and installing the free utility named GSpot

          and letting us know

          Video Codec Name Status

          and

          Audio Name Status

Looking forward to your follow up. If any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
