Has this already been identified as a bug?
Yes, I located it in our database. Hopefully, we should be getting a fix for this in the near future.

Are there any other consequences?
The primary issue is that if the user removes the xmpses file, all marker data will be lost.
Hope that helps,
Kevin

Loveppro11 Nov 8, 2014 8:12 PM (in response to Kevin Monahan)Yup, Just found this thread thanks to another user.
I have allot of markers I don't wish to lose.
I hope Adobe knows they just created allot of work for me now that I have to move the
new markers into place on the timeline X the quantity of chapters I had.
Why is it when we update we find these issues in Media Encoder or Encore?
The last one was the audio to get out of sync when imported into Encore and Writing the files.
After a ton of complaints, It took 2 months to remedy the problem.
Time for Adobe to update Encore from CS6 so we can uninstall CS6 Premiere Pro!
I have allot of customers that really want Blu-rays and not just a movie file.
Contrary to just .mov file advocates.
Folks like the Menu and Chapters.

rene vogt-lowell Nov 12, 2014 5:07 AM (in response to Stan Jones)Hi folks - Any updates on the fix?
I just subscribed to CC last month and running into these types of problems from the get-go is somewhat demoralizing. I'm editing the XML file as suggested for now but would like the Premiere-Encore workflow to just work since video editing/publishing is already a time-consuming process to begin with :-)
Thanks!
Rene
