    Flash/Flex search engine workings

I'm looking into using Flex/ruby on rails to develop my next application. However, I have a couple of questions I'd like to get answered before I go too far down the path.

I'm a coldfusion programmer that is used to creating sites that are easily learned by the search engines. With Flash, and to my knowledge, search engines cannot "learn" a site. Is this true and how does everyone work around this?

Finally, how does performance work on a flex website? I can get a lot of people to hit a CF site hard without having to worry about hardware and upgrades. Will I have issues with flex? How well does Flex scale?

      Regards,
      Scott
