I know what Japanese Furigana aka Ruby Text is in Japanese typography, but no sign that the Photoshop Type Tool supports it.
Microsoft Word can handle Furigana Adding Furigana to Your Microsoft Word Document | TheJapanesePage.com
But getting it into your Photoshop document is not a simple copy/paste. Perhaps getting a flattened copy of your artwork into word and using the furigana tool there might work.
If I find something I will try and get back to you.
ありがとう! Even though I don't have Microsoft word, I'm glad to know it's an option because I could get access to it. I hope there's something out there. Thanks!
It's a difficult topic. You could also look into software like SmithMicro Manga Studio or Celsys Comic Studio/Clip Studio Paint that caters to the manga trade. Deleter also offers Comic software as well.
Manga Studio has settings for ruby/furigana. Where is ruby setting in Manga Studio 5
But Word is a cheap way to go about it. You might take a screen clip of your text and place it into to Photoshop with the ability to transform, move and scale it.
