a. Assuring that the Premiere Elements 11 project preset is set correctly by you manually or the project automatically for
DV 4:3 - NTSC DV Standard
DV 16:9 - NTSC DV Widescreen
HDV - NTSC HDV HDV 1080i30
before you start the capture process?
If you have been there and done all that and your camera is being recognized in the Device Manager, then it is time to do
some cross checking with
a. capture firewire into Windows Movie Maker

Hello I have recently bought Premiere elements 13 everything is working fine except firewire dv capture. I have project setting match to the project but in source couldn't find my camera windowmovie maker find my camera via firewire but Premiere Elements 13 not . I have window 7. any suggestion?
Version 13 no longer captures from a tape camera

Thanks for the inquiry about Premiere Elements 13/13.1 and the DV and HDV data capture firewire feature.
As John has mentioned that feature has been removed from Premiere Elements 13/13.1. The last version to have that feature is 12/12.1. Please see the Adobe document that he has posted and the workarounds suggested by Adobe.
What computer operating system are you using?
If you purchased Premiere Elements 13 as download from Adobe within the last 30 days and this feature is critical to your work and the workarounds are unsatisfactory, you can request a return/refund for the product.
