    the property "playrate"

    Reverend_Manson
      Hi,
Lingo doesn´t recognize the property "playrate" for a quicktime sprite...
      sprite(1).playrate=1
how can I make sure to take the movie to a frame with a QT sprite, with controls check box marked but not paused at start?
      Thank you

          Hi,

with quicktime it's the movierate property to set the playbackspeed.

I'm not sure I understand the second question, but in the property
inspector you can set all kinds of properties for quicktime members
          amongst others:
          Paused
          and
          controls

If you switch on the controls, the paused option becomes disabled.

            Should have read better...
Try this on the quicktime sprite:

            on beginSprite me
            sprite(me.spriteNum).movieRate = 1
            end

it overrides whatever settings there were for the paused checkbox in the
            property inspector
