Does Lightroom or Camera Raw offer a Camera Standard profile for your camera?
Yes and no... Adobe has profiles for the camera, but I find the need to diverge from them.
The biggest part in my mind is knowing where to begin to rival the color accuracy of "Camera Standard," or "Adobe Standard." I feel like this is the "unknown" and I'd like to build a profile from the bottom up in a way that I could improve on these profiles or at least rival them, without inadvertently degrading them.
Is there anyone like MadManChan2000 that could simply point me where I need to start or where I need to do my reading?
Thanks so much,
My understanding is that Adobe use a proprietary tool that was developed in-house to create their profiles. Anything more than that you'd need someone with knowledge of the tool, e.g., Eric, to tell you.
I'd love any info or input from Eric to know if this is simply a closed door or if there is any direction he'd be willing to give...
what tools or even spectral instruments I would need in order to create a DNG profile
1. Spectral data for your sensor (CMF)
2. Matlab or C++ or etc
3. Programming skills
4. Color science skills
6. PROFIT! =)

I make similar tool for doing same things.
