InDesign CC 2014 stops responding and then starts responding again. The incidence is frequent but the "hang" is short lived, however bad enough for me to have to use a different package to finish a project. The software is used on a mid 2010 iMac running Yosemite, there is 12 GB of memory installed, The consul report on the "hangs" are all the same as follows: *** Assertion failure in -[NSEvent subtype], /SourceCache/AppKit/AppKit-1343.14/AppKit.subproj/NSEvent.m:2419
Any ideas? It's driving me mad!
same thing with a brand new retina imac.

Please see Adobe Forums: InDesign CS5.5 Not Responding for directions to convert your hang into a crash so maybe we can get some useful information.
Was this a clean install of the program on a clean install of the OS, or some sort of update or migration?
it was clean os and clean new adobe -- and then user files migrated in a locally created account.
i'll try to sit near user and spring into activity monitor when i hear a curse.
