I see I'm not the only one having problems with Animate judging from the number of error posts. But since updating to Yosemite it is useless. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app a few times and in does not fix the problems. One thing it's doing is after a few minutes when I select an object on the stage it does not highlight to show it's selected even though I know it is.
Then after a while longer the program becomes unresponsive and I have to force quit.
Please tell me this is being addressed and there will be a fix very soon. At this point it's a useless program.
Looking forward to hearing from people in the know and hopefully from Adobe staff.
This is a great program the I've used a lot and would like to resume using ASAP.
Thanks for reading.
Hi there. I am not sure what is wrong with Yosemite and I hope the dev team will address the issue soon.
In he mean time, I am wondering if you could install the previous version and let us know if it works. Both versions can be side by side on a computer.
Follow the link and choose 2014 in the drop down menu. Make sure you are logged in the cloud.
THe he dev team is working hard corrected the issues encountered in the latest release.
Thanks. Indeed that's the first thing I did after realizing 2014.1 was so messed up. I'm running 10.9.4 and didn't bother to log all the problems, just dropped back to the last version of Edge. My concern is more going forward. I want to be sure this program is worth continuing to pursue.
Redesign, I have been helped a great deal by your answers to other questions and especially when you were able to include sample project files. That's probably the most valuable thing you folks on this forum do.
I have my project due Monday and last few days I was not able to complete bc of the crashes. The current version in not working at all. Can Adobe provide us with older version so we can continue to work.
Daniel: Use the link above to install previous Version.
RBish: thank you for your encouragement. I personally think that the future is promising. We will get passed the hickups and go forward. But you know that html5 is forever evolving so there will always be some more hickups down the road. However so far all these have been taken care of. So I have great hopes.
thank you for help. I will try to install older version.
The older version is working fine.
Does this version conflict with the latest?
I've tried every available version and none of them work right in Yosemite. They all have the same problems I describe in my first post above. I hope there is a resolution soon. I use Edge a lot and this is extremely frustrating.
