    InDesign Crashing on startup


      Hi there,

      I have just installed the latest InDesignCC 2014. from CC.
      Before it even opens it crashes. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it with no luck.
      Simply can not get it to open - a note comes up from windows saying the following -
      Adobe InDesign CC 2014 has stopped working (*no **** sherlock) (*it doesn't say that)
      It then says a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available?!


      Any ideas on what to do here?

          Sorry to see you facing problems with InDesign CC 2014.

          I'll try to help but will need some information from you first. I am assuming you have done the basic steps of removing preferences\caches, if not please do the same as mentioned here

          1. Do you or did you have any previous installations on the system prior to InDesign CC 2014. If yes which one?

          2. You are using windows but is it Windows 7/8/XP

            thank you so much for getting back to me.

            Actually I feel a bit silly because soon after posting this I found a

            thread about removing the preferences and was able to do this so now it

            is all up and go
