Can anyone from Adobe answer this? Kind of feels like you might be ignoring the question??
I, too, would like this answered. I've watched free and paid tutorials and have not yet seen this information made available. I feel very much like a fool when they show how to draw lines and then when showing you how to upload to Illustrator, there is a complete logo.
This is my experience too. The adjustment tool (as per the bottom image of original post) does not give much adjustment! On the tutorial video it shows a live preview as the camera is moving around. This doesn't happen with the app in real life. You have to take photo of the desired subject. Very poor ability to pick up contrast even when the photo is pretty clear black and white—just doesn't seem to pick up dark areas very well.
Would be great for someone from Adobe to reply...

@gec78 Are you using an iPhone 5 or above? If not the app is not recommended (I've got an iPhone 4s). Go to Adobe Shape CC – Capture and create vector shapes on the App Store on iTunes and click on 'More' under the description. It states:
Adobe Shape was developed for iPad 3 and iPhone 5 or newer models. Not recommended for older models and some features may not be available.
My understanding is that it has limited functionality on iPhone 4/4s.
Hope that helps. Probably not worth upgrading to iPhone 5 just for the app!
