Without exact system information, details about your comp and so on nobody can say much. This simply sounds like an issue with your graphics driver.
it's not a graphics card problem. I worked on the same comp in after effects cc and worked. I have a mac book pro retina display early 2013. 16 gb of ram etc etc. Is a bug in fact
Mylenium didn't say it wasn't a bug. He simply said it sounds like an issue with your graphics card driver. It could easily be an issue introduced in the new version, but that doesn't mean it's not an issue. A lot was changed in the latest version to enable hi-dpi monitors, etc.
It's possible that updating your graphics card driver would fix the problem since an updated program is likely to be counting on the latest drivers.
That being said, if that's not the issue, we will DEFINITELY need more information like Mylenium requested.
