I modified code that I downloaded from Colin Moock's website
that has to do with Mouse Trailers. Basically a blue dot (movie
clip) trail follows the cursor. The code works but I do not
understand why the dotTrails variable is not replaced the next time
the function is called. There are 15 blue dots on the screen
determined by the "if" statement but why is there not just one?
Here is the code. Thanks for helping.
as long as movieclips have a unique depth (and they are not
removed) they will continue to exist.
because count is incremented (from 1 to 15) each time
fBlueDot() is called and each duplicate has a depth defined by
count the first 15 dots will all continue to exist after being
when count first excedes 15 count is reset to 0. then on the
next call to fBlueDot() the movieclip that was at depth 1 is
replaced as count is incremented and the next movieclip is created
at the same depth (1).
