InDesign has been refusing to open today. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, and the same problem occurs. I also tried deleting the preferences. Sometimes it opens the window, but won't work, other times it just crashes before showing anything.
I am on a Mac 10.9.5. I first started having issues with Adobe programs (I had to reinstall Acrobat and Photoshop last week, but they seem fine now) after I updated the OS.

Since there are several reports around about problems on newer MacOS versions, it is recommended to use a Mac with an older OS version or go back to the version which was defined as compatible when CS6 was released. Should be 10.8 something. You cannot expect software to still work properly when you update the OS where Apple has changed a lot. Compare this to Microsoft with Windows 7 and 8.
