I've created a document in Adobe Illustrator that contains a gradient of a Pantone (300C) going from 25-100%. When printed, the colors remain vibrant and clear. I've now recreated the document in InDesign using the same Pantone colors - blending from a 25% tint to 100% tint and the colors are now greyed and muddy. Why wouldn't the gradient reproduce consistently. Is there something I am doing wrong?
Appearing grey and muddy where? On Screen? In print?
Have you exported to PDF and viewed there - output from PDF? Got a colour sample from your printers?
The color is just grayer in both the screen view and when exported as PDF and printed. We aren't as far as the printer yet - just working on the final files - the comps were done in illustrator and now we're recreating in InDesign and the client thinks they look too grey.

There may be something different from application to application. What happens if you place the gradient from Illustrator into the InDesign layout?
