check out this thread...
Your problem is a slight variation on this theme and it may be the answer if you can find a way of distributing the SOL file to everyone. I'd be interested to know if it works for you, based on the discussion in the thread.
10x for the hint phil, but when i searched this settings.sol file it just doesn't exist on my machine or maybe I've made a mistake with installing the flash and that's why it doesn't exist. I don't know what are the reasons but I don't have such file...Sorry if I'm asking stupid questions but I work with AS only from 2 months :)
P.S. This whole settings thing it's veeeery bad I'm extremely unhappy with it :) I was askin myself (and you, after I've asked myself) in Java, when writing an applet it has very similar problem with this, but if you've "signed" the applet this applet becames trusted and the problem doesn't exists anymore, so I was asking myself is there a way to sign my application? And will it help?
silly question, but if you used windows crappy search, did you ensure you searched hidden/system files?
just realised i'd posted the wrong file ref in previous post... it should be
c:\documents and settings\username\application data\macromedia\flash player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\settings.sol
Believe me I've "turned" my PC upside-down, I searched for hidden/system files - noup it does not find it ! :) And the problem is that that with the copying the settings file it will do some work, but only in the beginning it must have some workaround. I didn't expected that such a small problem (in the beginning) will cause such big issues .. horible.. :)
OK, try this. On your machine go to the global settings page and change something. Now do a search on your machine for files modified today....
