I think you want to get color palette back. If so, go to Window > Color.
If you meant to switch from foreground to background color(or vice-versa), you can use "X" as the toggle key.

Clicking on it used to reverse them. X does the trick though, and looking around again, I see that the background and foreground colors and the arrow are now on the tools palette. Have they been moved or am I suffering from senile decay?

1 person found this helpfulYup, I got which curved arrow icon you were specifying above. It is basically used to switch between the foreground and the background colors. "X" is a keyboard shortcut for doing the same.
