Is there any actual way to open a support case?
Getting very frustrated at lack of support available or is it just documented really badly on how to get support?
all I can say that the crash occurs because one file is missing. That's what the exception code
0xc0000002 stands for. This might be a Lr internal file or another one.
I would try to run as Lightroom as Administrator (right click on the application icon) or/and reinstall Lr to see if it helps.
If it doesn't please let me know and we can try to see if we can figure out which file is missing.
I have exactly the same issue. And running it under Administrator rights doesn't help either.
Only repair/reinstall helps (or getting an update) but doing that each time you want to run an import is very annoying. Lucky I do most of my work on a Mac.
In the mean time I found the cause thanks to some message I found on the Internet.
When you plug in an Android device (in my case a Samsung Smartphone) into your computer you get this error. Just unplug the phone and the import is working fine.
