1. Re: Different video cards RAM amounts causing crashes CC 2014.1?
SirQsDad Nov 1, 2014 12:28 PM (in response to wraptors)I have the same problem. Same error. But the difference is that I have two different cards in my computer. So I don't have to send the project elsewhere to get this problem.
I have one 570/2GB for my main screens and one 640/1GB for my third screen. This setup have worked without any problem for over a year and now with the 2014.1 update this started.
Needless this is very annoying to not be able to render or export without problems. -
2. Re: Different video cards RAM amounts causing crashes CC 2014.1?
SirQsDad Nov 3, 2014 7:39 AM (in response to SirQsDad)Since some Mac issues was solved with the new Java 8 build 40 I tried that but no change. Still hangs/crashes.
Now I can export anymore (tried both directly from Premiere and Media Encoder). It goes for a while and then it goes own to 0.2% CPU utilization and stays there forever.
When rendering inside Premiere it is almost the same.

wraptors Nov 3, 2014 11:05 AM (in response to SirQsDad)I'm not sure the work around for you but for me the only thing that would work was to make a new project, new sequence, import random video. After that I could then import my old project and erase the new sequence etc.. This solved my OpenGL error but it's still a pain in the ***.

4. Re: Different video cards RAM amounts causing crashes CC 2014.1?
SirQsDad Nov 3, 2014 12:10 PM (in response to wraptors)I did some more testing. Removed secondary graphic card (only two screens now) and deleted all autosave folders, cache folders and preview folders. Then open up the problem project. Now the OpenGL error is gone but I have two new errors.

I will try your solution and see if that brings back my sanity... -

wraptors Nov 3, 2014 12:26 PM (in response to SirQsDad)I've had those same errors and believe they are related. I think you should try what I did to fix it.

6. Re: Different video cards RAM amounts causing crashes CC 2014.1?
SirQsDad Nov 3, 2014 6:20 PM (in response to wraptors)After one hour with nVidia support and almost one hour with Adobe support this is the conclusion I came to.
The 2014.1 update come with new stuff. Something along the line makes the 1GB 570 cards not working anymore as wanted in some computers. nVidia say that this is an Adobe issue. Adobe say this is an nVidia issue. Both recommend me to get a new graphic card.
This even tho it still say on Adobes recommended page that 1GB 570 cards are ok to use. Not first option but still approved. To make my computer works so so I had to turn off hardware support and use only software. Also removing the User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe folder and rebooting the computer. Then software rendering works. Slow but I can export to client. And probably spend a lot of money to fix the computer.
