Of course it is possible. It would involve php and json to update the count. But Animate can communicate with a server like any html page.
Do you have any examples of this? If not, do you know where a good starting point for this would be? Thank you.

I do not have examples I can share but you could first check out how json and php work together.
- you will need to check with the server if the student has already voted
- you will need to add the vote in the case the student has not voted
- you may send an email to the student to confirm their vote
- you will want to code it so that the site cannot be used by spam robots

Note that the tutorial is old and made in a previous version. If you are using 2014.1 you will need to add jquery in the script loading.
