    Book Cover Artwork

    Wood N Treasures

I have a strange issue. I have a high resolution image (photo) that I want to use for the background of a print book cover. I click "Place" and drop the image in just fine, but it is huge. In Illustrator I can simply grab the corner or edge and resize, but when i try that in InDesign, the photo doesn't resize I just drag the icon and nothing changes. OR...if something does change, all that happens is the image crops at that point, leaving me with just the upper right corner.  Even when I manage to get something in the right place, it is always very pixelated, which doesn't happen in Illustrator or Photoshop.

I guess my main question is this> Is there a different process for working with images in Indesign?

      Any help would be appreciated.
