I work for a small company who has always externally sourced simple product PDF's and page design to another local company.
However I have decided that I would like to learn how to do this simple task myself and have purchased InDesign.
Please take a look at the link below regarding a recent design (sorry about the adverts) that was made for us by this local company. Does anybody have any idea how a design like this was made/put together? Was it with InDesign?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
My first instinct is that you may have overestimated how simple a task this is.
Asking how to create a specific design with InDesign without knowing the basics of the program is akin to asking a driving instructor for specific instructions for getting to the supermarket in your car, rather than learning to drive.
That design is constructed from a variety of geometric shapes, with some gradient fills, possibly with InDesign, possibly Illustrator. Learn to use those tools, and if you have a sense of composition, you'll be able to create similar designs. And if you're having these commercially printed, you'll have another set of skills and terminology to learn.
Thank you for your help, perhaps you're right, I had thought a task like this was basic but it seems I was a long way away.
