Random Notes: Pitch and Duration

I'm new to Audition, running v 3.0.

How do I create random pitches (only the chromatic scale, within specified lowest and highest pitches) lasting for random durations (specifying only 16th notes through whole notes) ?

I want to create a track with random pitches occurring for a specified amount of time or specified number of bars.

Sorry Audition can't do anything like this since it is mainly an audio editing program. You really need something that can generate MIDI files according to your specifications. However I don't know of any of the large range of usual music sequencer software like Cubase or Sonar or notation software like Sibelius that that will do this automatically. I would think that it would need a specially coded bit of software based on Max/MSP to generate random MIDI files for you.
