1. Re: BC.Next Recent Roll-out broke A LOT of things
Robert Bell (Bosweb) Oct 30, 2014 10:58 PM (in response to Tarik :: Creativaholic)Do you think it's because of changes that are expected to break beta code, or just a lack of regression tests?

2. Re: BC.Next Recent Roll-out broke A LOT of things
Tarik :: Creativaholic Oct 30, 2014 11:24 PM (in response to Robert Bell (Bosweb))some areas shouldn't even be affected as they are not part of beta I guess, like submitting Webapp items via Ajax, used to work perfect as a woraround for media/images/ and files upload. Before this, if you submit via ajax and submit a single Field ONLY, nothing else get affected. Right now, if you do that everything gets updated regardless, therefore, you have to upload the files AGAIN which is not ideal if you already have files uploaded and want them to stay the same.
I hope my explanation reach out the point of an answer you're looking for

BC-RaduCosnita Oct 31, 2014 2:11 AM (in response to Tarik :: Creativaholic)Hi Tarik,
I have tried to use Content Editing -> Web pages app but I could make it trigger Pages V3 API calls. Still, using multiple access tokens generated by launching the app multiple times I tried to access pages v3 api. It work smoothly.
Can you please tell me how I can trigger Pages API V3 calls from Content Editing -> Web Pages app?

Radu

We know of only 2 modules that indeed were affected by this release and those are module_blogsitepost and module_blogpostlist they are both affected by the same bug: they will only use the default template instead of a custom template specified using the template="" parameter (only sites on 4.5 beta are affected by this).
We already have a fix for this and will do a release soon to address this issue.

Liam Dilley Oct 31, 2014 3:46 PM (in response to Lucian Cozma)I think the better question is - What modules have you yet to support template="" OR is it the case you have completed that?
If the latter then some are buggy, but if not then the list would be the ones you not got to yet.
Search results module for example that is one that does not work.

A3_Aaron Nov 1, 2014 10:20 PM (in response to BC-RaduCosnita)OMG - glad to know I am not going crazy (at least that is what I keep telling myself). Noticed the /template parameters were not rendering - spent a good portion of the day reconfiguring a few sites pulling my hair out trying to figure out why this stopped working. Glad to know it is a bug - hope it gets fixed soon!!'

BC-RaduCosnita Nov 3, 2014 11:07 PM (in response to A3_Aaron)Hi Aaron,
Can you please tell me what template parameters aren't rendering correctly? It would be great if you can provide the snippet which is not working as expected.

Tarik :: Creativaholic Nov 3, 2014 11:18 PM (in response to BC-RaduCosnita)Sorry Guys, I didn't come back here to provide feedback, got caught out straight after we fixed the issue. For everyone else, I just want to say, that Radu, Lucian and Cristinel and everyone else in the BC Engineers (sorry if I forgot anyone's name) have been LEGENDARY to help out promptly find and isolate the issues we faced. I would like to thank you very much for that guys. Great Work.
So to summarise, the issue with the pages API was that the new key now for the page url is pageUrl instead of url.
The other rendering issue with the Web Apps in front-end was either our developers mistake or the site owner's mistake, there was some duplicate records that brought the issue up - but the guys were kind enough to determine where the issue was coming from and pointed it out (thank you).

Liam Dilley Nov 4, 2014 10:53 PM (in response to BC-RaduCosnita)Hey Radu, It is beta stuff so we appreciate this and the efforts you guys are doing.
But I think Scott pointed out though we can only really test this as detailed as we can for you buy building sites for clients. So that defiantly is worth keeping in mind as well.
