      Need a Javascript so a document is hidden until an acknowledgment is read and a button is clicked, then the rest of the document is available.

          This is technically possible using templates and some JavaScript, but it would require Reader 11 (Windows/Mac) or Acrobat to work. The PDF could initially be a single page, and the templates could be spawned to create the other pages when the acknowledgment is clicked. Whether this would be a good idea is another question.

           

          It's also possible with layers (OCGs) and JavaScript, which would work with earlier versions of Reader for (Windows/Mac). In this case the pages would appear to be blank until the acknowledgment is clicked.

           

          Another option is to use opaque buttons to cover up the content of each page, and when the acknowledgment is clicked, hide the buttons and thus displaying the page contents.

           

          Note that none of these things can be considered secure, as it is relatively easy to work around if you know what you're doing.

           

          So it's possible, but can't work with a number of PDF viewers, most mobile versions in particular, and isn't secure.
