Moved to InDesign EPUB forum
EPUB FXL requires using either OpenType (preferred) or TrueType fonts. Postscript Type 1 is not supported.
If that's not the case, what font(s) are you using? Have you tried others?
Any specific reason you are using Adobe World-Ready Paragraph Composer? It is meant to be used for non-Western scripts. I cannot replicate the issue you are having. What font are you using? It looks like DIN Condensed?
The world-ready composer was set as default… I do not need this setting of course...
But this is weird.
Problem occurs with any Opentype or true type fonts.
Indesign Build 10.1.0.71 - French version
To change the default to Adobe Paragraph Composer, with no documents open, change it on Indesign/Preferences/Advanced Type/Default Composer. You might need to replace your preferences because it should not change the font from uppercase to lowercase.
Definitely rebuild your preferences.
And when you open that doc, make sure its prefs are set to Adobe Composer too. Select the Type tool but don't select anything on the page, then look at the settings for Character Style (should be None) and Basic Paragraph (style) > Justification
Thank you for your answer.
Does it mean that Adobe world ready composer is not build for western script ?
Adobe Help Site mentions the following:
"Adobe World-Ready composers enable you to create content in middle-eastern languages.
You can type in, and mix between, Arabic, Hebrew, English, French, German, Russian, and other Latin languages."
World Ready Composer is not supported in live text in FXL EPUB and this is why you are facing issues with it.Changing the composer to Single Line Composer/Paragraph Composer should solve the issue.
