Importing canon MXF files / audio out of sync

      Hi,

I have a bunch of MXF files that unfortunately have lost the camera file structure and are on their own single folders with their CIF, XML and SIF files ( I have no idea what these files do). Having lost the complete structure means that they cannot be imported with Canon FX proprietary program.

Premiere recognises the files and imports them individually. This also means that it doesn't stitch together files captured in one go, although this is not much of a problem.

My problem is that when I import them into premiere or when I try to transcode them with Media Encoder the sound files are compressed in time (i.e. they are a few seconds shorter and finish before the moving images do) and all the audio is out of sync.

When opened with VLC sound and pictures are in perfect sync.

      Any suggestions?

Does anyone can help finding out what is making the audio tracks to be interpreted in a different timing?

      Many thanks

      Fernando
